Mayor signs contract for 2030 European shooting event
On Friday, 30 August, the contract for the European Shooters' Meeting (EST) 2030 was signed between the city of Dormagen, the association “Europaschützentreffen Dormagen 2030 e.V.” and the European Community of Historical Shooters (EGS). As part of the EST 2024 in Mondsee, Austria, it was decided that the EST 2030 would take place in Dormagen from 9 to 11 August. The contract was signed in the Fürstenzimmer at Mondsee Castle.
The European Shooting Meeting 2030 is organised by the association "Europaschützentreffen Dormagen 2030 e.V." in close cooperation with regional shooting clubs and associations, the city shooting association and the city of Dormagen.The chairman is Manfred Klein, his deputy is Harald Lenden, the secretary is Jenny Gnade and the treasurer is Christian Clemens.

Step by step
The first step was taken when we won the European Shooting Competition for 2030 here in Dormagen. Now the second step has been taken. Teams have been formed to take care of the planning and realisation of the European Shooters' Meeting. However, there is still a lack of helpers who can support these teams with their knowledge, their network and their skills.The following teams have been formed:
- Programme
- Tent and fairground, catering
- Security and traffic concept
- Sponsoring & marketing, public relations
- Parade (music, grandstands, decorations)
- Overnight accommodation (HRS, DJH, private rooms, caravan pitches)
- Shooting and other competitions
